Pet Stain & Odor Removal
We know that pet urine stains and odors can be tricky to remove. Pet accidents can soak through the carpet padding or down to the subfloor, and the smell can last for years.
Our P.U.R.T.® cleaning process can help you get rid of stubborn pet urine odors for good*. Our process starts with checking for urine deposits with ultraviolet light. Then, we’ll clean the carpet with our Hot Carbonating Extraction (HCE) process. Finally, we’ll apply the P.U.R.T. product, which destroys the odor-causing material and removes the stain from the source.

Frequently Asked Questions
What types of stains can Chem-Dry remove?
Chem-Dry’s powerful solutions and HCE process are effective on a wide variety of common household stains, including food spills (coffee, wine, juice), pet accidents (urine, vomit), dirt, grease, ink, and more. While we can’t guarantee complete removal of every stain (some are permanent), we have a high success rate.
How do you remove pet stains from carpets?
Pet odors and stains can linger for months if not treated properly. As urine dries in the carpet and padding, what’s left are millions of concentrated urine crystals that become even more pungent. Many companies just mask this odor. Chem-Dry uses a patented system, P.U.R.T.® (Pet Urine Removal Treatment), to explode the urine crystals and break down the enzymes which gets rid of the pet odor and stain forever*.
Do I need to do anything to prepare for a stain removal appointment?
It’s helpful if you can identify the type of stain and when it occurred. You can also blot up any excess liquid with a clean cloth or paper towel before our arrival. However, please avoid using harsh chemicals or store-bought stain removers, as these can sometimes set the stain further or react with our solutions.
